<br /> <br />'2 <br /> <br />It ~~s explained ~J the Attorney General that there were no civil service <br />lists and the n~.e of the person selected as stenogra~her could then be <br />sent to the Civil Service Commission as a provisional appointment. <br /> <br />Thereupon a general discussion was had concerning the surveys and <br />water studies which are no~ being conducted in North Park; and it was deter- <br />mined that under the statute creating the Colorado Water Conservation Board, <br />these surveys and studies and the perso~~el engaged therein would come under <br />the Colorado Water Conservation Board and payment for such surveys and <br />studies would be a charge upon the money appropriated to the Board. A <br />motion was duly made, seconded, and carried that until the next meeting of <br />the Board, the surveys and studies in liorth Park be continued until the next <br />meeting of the Board, and the amount tb be expended for continuance of such <br />wor~ and the extent of the work would be determined at the next ~eeting of <br />the Board. George J. Bailey thereupon ex~lained in brief the ger~ral purpose <br />of the surveys and studies in North Park, referring to the case of Nebraska <br />vs Wyoming in which Colorado is an impleaded defendant, and the importance <br />of these studies for use in that case. <br /> <br />M. C. Hinderlider, State Engineer, reported that the P~o Grande <br />investigation was now complete but that the reports had not yet been made <br />public. <br /> <br />. By motion duly made, seconaea, and carried, the Director was <br />instr~cted to prepare rules ~nd regulations covsring meetins and ~eneral <br />procedural matters of the Board and submit the s~e at the ~ext meeting for <br />consideration. <br /> <br />By a motion duly made, seconded, and carried the Director was in- <br />structed to prepare and submit for the consideration of the Board a design <br />for a Board seal. <br /> <br />By motion duly made, seconded, and carried the Director was in- <br />structed to prepare a general report and fiLdings with respect to existing <br />water and irrigation matters affecting the State of Coloraio. Such report <br />to be of interst-te water cases and problems in "ihien the Stac:e is in any <br />way involved, said report to be supplemented by statements from the <br />Secret:::ry of the Pla.:.ning Com;nission, Atto:'ney General, 5.ud State En[ineer; <br />and that s~ch re:ort a~d su??lemental st~t€ments snould be used end con- <br />sidered by the Board fo~ tne purpose of ]rep&ring a program covering various <br />matters of t~e policy in reS?8ct to ~ate~ c~nservatiQn, ievelopillent, and <br />utilization of water in Colorcdo. <br /> <br />It was thereupon duly Jlovea..
