<br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Community response: The Urban Drainage and Flood Control District transmitted a letter dated July 2, <br />2003 to the CWCB requesting fonnal designation and approval of the subject study. Douglas County <br />transmitted a request letter to the CWCB as well. The District has coordinated closely with all of the <br />affected entities (listed above) and they are aware of and support the request for CWCB action. <br />Staff findings: The subject Flood Hazard Area Delineation for Cherry Creek contains the most current <br />floodplain infonnation for the subject study reach of Cherry Creek. CWCB staff has detennined that the <br />subject floodplain infonnation is in confonnance with the CWCB's rules and regulations for floodplain <br />designation and approval. <br />Staff recommendation: Staff recommends that the Board: 1) designate and approve the 100-year detailed <br />floodplain infonnation contained in said report for Cherry Creek, and 2) authorize staff to prepare a <br />floodplain resolution to be signed by the Director and transmitted to the Urban Drainage and Flood <br />Control District, Arapahoe County, Douglas County, The City of Aurora, The City of Centennial, The <br />Town of Parker, and FEMA.
