Type of Program: COmbined hail suppression and rain augmentation
over 12-county (10,000 sq. mile) area in Western Kansas. In use
were four single-engine Comanche aircraft with wing generators
for cloud base seeding and a Navajo for cloud top seeding using
dry ice. Based in Lakin, KS; operated an Enterprise WR100 5-cm
radar system.
