Risch, and <br />North American Weather Consultants (Incorporated in utah) of <br />3761 South 700 East, Salt Lake City, utah, hereinafter referred <br />to as "Applicant" has, or is about to file with the Director of <br />the Colorado Water Conservation Board, designee of the Executive <br />Director of the Colorado Department of Natural Resources, an <br />application for a permit to conduct weather modification <br />operations within the State of Colorado and within the areas <br />hereinafter more specifically stated. The Applicant shall <br />conduct such operations for and on behalf of the Grand Mesa Water <br />Users Association, 1381 2420 Drive, Cedaredge, CO 81413. The <br />application is being made pursuant to Article 20 of Title 36, <br />C.R.S. <br /> <br />The primary <br />modification <br /> <br />target area of operations <br />permit is sought is described <br /> <br />for which <br />as follows: <br /> <br />a <br /> <br />weather <br /> <br />The target area is the Grand Mesa above 8,000 feet <br />elevation and adjoining mountainous areas above 8,000 feet <br />elevation east and southeast of the Grand Mesa. The <br />proposed area is bounded by T11SR97E on the northwest, <br />. ' . <br />T13SR97W on the southwest, T12SR94W on the south, T12SR91W, <br />south to T50NR6W, east to T50NR5W, north to TllSR89W <br />(McClure Pass), northwest to T9SR90W on the north, southwest <br />to T1lSR92W (Chalk Mt.) and west to T11SR97E. The proposed <br />target area includes portions of Delta, Mesa and Gunnison <br />counties. <br /> <br />The general area beyond the primary area which may reasonably'be <br />expected to be affected by the weather modification operations <br />includes portions of the following counties: eastern Mesa, <br />northern Delta, southern Pitkin, western Gunnison, and eastern <br />Montrose. <br />
