.
.

Question i:

Question j:

Question k:

-)

. )

The normal snowpack will be the average water
content of the snowpack for the past 15 years of
record for each of the selected snow courses from
January 1 to April 30. For December, percent of
average shall be calculated by the Soil
Conservation Service Snow Survey unit. The
following Snotel snowcourse sites are proposed to
represent the target area:

McClure Pass
Mesa Lakes
North Lost Trail
Park Reservoir

07K 09S
08K 04S
07K 01S
07K 06S

9500 feet
10000 feet
9200 feet
9960 feet

The applicant will in addition suspend operations
when the Director of the Colorado Water
conservation Board requests that seeding should be
suspended.

To our knowledge there are currently no other
weather modification projects nearby that would be
adversely affected by the proposed program. The
nearest program we are aware of is in the vail ski
area some 70 miles removed from the proposed
target area.

No significant ecological impacts are anticipated
from the proposed program. Significant changes in
the precipitation patterns are not expected
(changes are expected to be in the 10-15 percent
range) . Studies have indicated that the high
elevation snowpack depletion would only be delayed
by a few days by such an increase in snowfall
(Harper, 1981).

No significant increase in erosion due to the
increased runoff is anticipated. The increase in
runoff will occur over an extended period covering
the duration of the snowmelt period (usually
several months in durations).

A certificate of liability insurance held by NAWC
with $2,000,000 of coverage is enclosed.
