Colorado 80203 866-3311 <br /> <br />Mr. Larry Hjermstad, President <br />Western Weather Consultants, Inc. <br />P.O. 80x 58 <br />Ourango, CO 81301 <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Hjermstad: <br /> <br />RE: Renewal of Colorado Weather Modification Permit No. 85-1 <br /> <br />This letter serves to renew Colorado Weather Modification Permit <br />No. 85-1, which was granted to Western Weather Consultants Inc. for a <br />project intended to augment natural precipitation in the drainages west <br />of Vail Pass in the vicinity of the Vail and Beaver Creek ski areas. The <br />permit was granted for the period November I, 1984 through March 31, 1985 <br />and allowed use of eight ground generators. It was renewed in WY 1986. <br /> <br />This permit renewal No. 87-1 is granted subject to requirements of <br />the Colorado Weather Modification Act of 1972, Article 20, Title 36, <br />C.R.S., the weather modification rules and regulations dated August 1, <br />1986, the application and permit number No. 85-1, and your letter of <br />February 9, 19B7 in which renewal was requested. Current snowpack at the <br />Vail ski area is 77 percent of the averaged 1961-1985 snowpack measured <br />by the Soil Conservation Service Snow Survey Unit. Generator locations <br />and operators are to be the same as those utilized in WY 1986. <br /> <br />Proof of financial responsibility by means of a prepaid liability <br />insurance policy for $1,000,000 is required for this permit to become <br />effecti ve. <br /> <br />The permit renewal will be in effect February 14, 1987 - April 19, <br />1987. Suspension criteria and reporting requirements are to be the same <br />as permit No. 85-1. However, it is noted that your business address has <br />been changed to 293 Co.
