Neteorologists licenseu by <br />the State of Colorado to operate "eather modification programs will <br />determine if particular weather events are suitable for precipitation <br />augmentation by cloud seeding in accordance with the operational <br />criteria stated in this proposal. <br /> <br />Prior to initiating any. seeding operations, a thorough hazard <br />analysis will be evaluated. A potential ".eather system judged suit- <br />able for seeding ",ill be evaluated for its potential to develop into <br />a blizzard, severe storm, or a heavy precipitating stonn possibly <br />associated with a potential major avalanche episode. Also, the effects <br />of the ",eather event on ranching, agricul ture, highway travel".rs, <br />municipal interests and industry will be considered. This evaluation <br />will be concentrated upon those areas to be seeded 310ng with <br />considerations. of potential dis-benefits to.adjacent areas which may <br />be influenced by augmented precipitation. No seeding viII be <br />initiated during a period determined to have a high potential hazard <br />evaluation. <br /> <br />Once a seeding operations h.,s been initiated,: monitoring of <br /> <br /> <br />existing and forecast \o'eather condi tions ,,111 continue throughout <br /> <br /> <br />the dura tion of the seeding opera t ion.
