For the cloud top aircraft, year-to-year numbers were <br />nearly identical. Slightly less time was spent seeding and slightly <br />less dry ice was dispensed in 1997---less than a 1% difference. <br />There were 25.8 hours of in-cloud seeding time'in 1996 and 25.6 <br />hours in 1997; dry ice dropped was 3509 kilograms in 1996 versus <br />3488 kilograms in 1997, a 0.6% difference in both cases. <br /> <br />The total amount of seeding time and the amount of silver <br />iodide seeding agent expended in 1997 was 56,637 minutes and 204,906 <br />grams, respectively, versus 40,715 minutes and 15l,002 grams in <br />1996. Again, on a per aircraft comparison to 1996, seeding time <br />was 13% less than 1996 and the amount of seeding agent dispensed was <br />15% less than 1996. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />25 <br />
