<br />WEATHER MODIfICATION PERMIT <br /> <br />WY 84-3 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />fINDINGS Of fACT <br /> <br />The following findings of fact are based on: <br /> <br />a. Application for Colorado Permit for Weather Modification <br />ActivIties, form WM2, dated January 13, 1984. <br /> <br />b. statements at the public meeting conducted in Holly, <br />Colorado on March 21, 1984. <br /> <br />c. Comments, written and oral, from citizens expressing an <br />interest in this Application. <br /> <br />d. Advice, comments, and recommendations of the Colorado <br />Weather Mod1ficat10n Adv1sory Comm1ttee. <br /> <br />e. Kansas permit to engage in Weather modlficat10n activIties <br />in the State of Kansas, dated 2 March 1984, based on the <br />application dated January 12, 1984. <br /> <br />f. Weather Mod1f1cat10n Act of 1972, Article 2D, T1tle 36, <br />C.R.S. <br /> <br />g. Weather Modification Rules and Regulations dated September <br />12, 1973. <br /> <br />1. The project is under the sponsorship of parties listed in <br />Attachment A. <br /> <br />2. The project will uti11ze three a1rcraft. <br /> <br />3. The project is Intended to provide rain augmentation and hall <br />suppression to benef1t agr1culture. <br /> <br />4. The person in control of the project is English Hammond, who <br />holds a valid weather modification 11cense. <br /> <br />5. The applicable permit fee is $lDO.DO. A 2% fee on the contract <br />amount for work conducted under th1s perm1t will not be charged because <br />no Impact from the project is anticipated In Colorado. <br /> <br />6. <br />l1ablllty <br />effectIve <br /> <br />Proof of f1nancial respons1b11ity, by means of a prepaid <br />insurance polley 1s required for this permit to become <br />and has been subm1tted 1n the amount of $2,ODD,DDO. <br /> <br />7. The operat10nal plan for the project meets the requirements of <br />C.R.S. 36-2D-112(1)(d) and is incorporated into these findIngs by <br />reference. <br />
