9. Factors indicating that the proposed weather modification project is conceived to
provide and offers promise of providing an economic benefit to the area in which
the operation will be conducted (applicable only to commercial projects):
Project is based upon teclmology developed from research studies and field projects
which have been conducted in Colorado nountainous reoions and in other nountain ora-
qraphic reqions. These studies =nfinn that when seedinq is =nducted under proper
temperature and wind conditions, increases of 10-20% in the average water =ntent per
season can be expected. The,arrount of SIlCM increase is highly dependent upon the
frequency of seedable cloud =nditions. .
