<br />WEATHER SUMMARY FOR THE <br />1999-2000 SEEDING SEASON <br /> <br />Weather events during October and the first half of November were minimal to non-existent <br />over the Central Colorado Mountains, Fair skies and above nonnal temperatures during this period <br />, provided and extended Indian Summer for all of Colorado, <br /> <br />A week ofstonny weather the 7-days before Thanksgiving ushered in the first taste of winter <br />for 1999-2000 Season. December saw a: return to more nonnal weather patterns with good amounts of <br />snowfall up until Christmas, improving the snowpack to 44% of normaL This storminess was <br />followed by a week of fair weather over the Holiday week into New Years Day, <br /> <br />The weather in January was quite,active and provided frequent seedable snow events, The <br />heavier precipitation from these numerous snowstorms improved the snowpack to 70% ofnonnal, as <br />January is normally a snowy month, . <br /> <br />The 1999-2000 Seeding Season is the 24th consecutive year of weather modification operations <br />over the Vail Ski Area, This season consisted of20 seedable weather events covering 39 operational <br />days and utilizing 2,393,5 seeding hour from the generator network, <br />
