<br />49 <br /> <br />1 motivated to become a part of this project. <br /> <br />2 We feel that the Colorado River basin is truly <br /> <br />3 going to be a bankrupt stream within about 15 years, that by <br /> <br />4 the time the Central Arizona Project and some of the parti- <br /> <br />5 cipating projects in the upper basin are completed that there <br /> <br />6 are going to be extremely severe shortages in the Colorado <br /> <br />7 River stream system; and this was recognized in the authoriz- <br /> <br />8 ing act of the Colorado River Basin Project. <br /> <br />S The Bureau of Reclamation and other weather <br /> <br />10 modification programs, we feel, are going to advance the <br /> <br />11 state of the art and mak.e it possible to implement a trulJ::' <br /> <br />J2 operational project when that time comes; or at least we're <br /> <br />13 looking to the increase in knowledge of weather modification <br /> <br />14 exposure to the public and, hopefully, public acceptance to <br /> <br />15 where the program could be implemented when it is needed some <br /> <br />16 lS years in the future. <br /> <br />17 <br /> <br />HEARING OFFICER SJAASTAD: Did his additional <br /> <br />18 testimony elicit any more questions? <br /> <br />19 (No response) <br />20 HEARING OFFICER SJAASTAD: That's all.
