'lERMS' & 'camITIONS

Permit herein granted is limited by and subject to the
following: conditions:

1) This permit shall be effective for the period from
May 1, 1981 until August 31, 1981.

2) The Colorado Weather Modification Advisory Committee has
indicated that hail suppression operations conducted
over Colorado to affect Kansas could reduce potential
precipi tation in COlorooo. Therefore penetration by
cloud seeding aircraft into airspace over Colorado is
limited to a distance one half of the west to east
component of the miles per hour cloud motion. Cloud
motion is determined from the centroid of the radar
ecoo ~ for example, if a cloud is IOOving toward the
Kansas border at 10 miles per rour, the penetration
allowed into Colorado is 5 miles west of the border, or
if a cloud is movirq toward the Kansas border at 20
miles per hour, the penetration allowed into Colorado is
10 miles west of the border.

3) The Applicant shall suspend seeding operations during
storm periodS forecast to produce heavy precipitation
.amounts as set forth in the application.

4) The Applicant shall submit monthly written reports to
the Executive Director throughout the period of 'the
permit surrmarizing activities and results. The report
shall specifically note compliance with .the conditions
of this permit and shall contain a special section
noting proposed or actual deviations from said
condi tions and the circumstsnces of the approval thereof
as required in Paragraph one of these terms and
conc:Utions.

5) The Executive Director may select a panel of citizens in
the project area to advise the applicant and the
Executive Director of W'eather m:XJification activities.

6) Except as modified by the tenns and conditions herein,
the Applicant shall strictly conform to the operational
plan as set forth in his application.

7) Violation or deviation of the terms ard conditions of
this permit may result in revocation or suspension of
the permit as provided by law.
