I have also included a copy of the evaluations conducted by the <br />Kansas Water Office on our program as well as the final report for 1994 and the 1995 <br />Operational Plan, As I discussed with you last year, the consequential loss insurance <br />program coverage is no longer available, This coverage was a brain storm of the Weather <br />Modification Association years ago when Barbara Welles and Tom Henderson were <br />actively involved, I have been told that if this coverage was available, we wouldn't be able <br />to afford it anyway, I have provided a copy of our aircraft insurance program which <br />covers property damage liability in the amount of one million dollars, I hope this will <br />satisfy your needs, <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />As you can see in the enclosed Operational Plan, the area requested to overfly Colorado is <br />between fifty and sixty miles, This was the recommendation ofthe Bureau of Reclamation <br />in their past evaluation and something we would definitely like to be able to accomplish, <br />If your rules and regulations need to be modified to do this, we sincerely hope that you <br />will take whatever action is necessary to get it done, <br /> <br />I hope that this approv~ can be completed in the near J ture" As I understand it there will <br />have to be a hearing ~ld on this application, Please ltvise as soon as possible when that <br />date might be, When this is done, the notice of intent can be published in the newspapers <br />you desire, <br /> <br />SZ/~ <br /> <br />~bbin, Manager <br />Western Kansas Groundwater <br />Management District No,l <br /> <br />pc: Kansas Water Office <br /> <br />BOX 604, W, Hwy 96 <br />SCOTT CITY, KANSAS 67871 <br />(316) 872.5563 <br />
