We have
Al@I%~l.ished our company as a reliable supplier for Fresh Express, the largest packaged salad
,P'''flPrPoessor in the nation. Tnis past summer we shipped over 4,500,000 pounds of quality
,. .,,:lEl;et.4their regional processing plants in Chicago, IL, Atlanta, GA and Greencastle, P A.

.a!;ySE:EK~~~:::;J~~b~.':..b"

'1)mtllllice were numerous times during the growing season where we felt we were able to stop
""~~":~-:;::;;;'W"/.'
di'.J~jformations ?fhail. Without the har! cannons we are convInced that our
..4i:!@m:;::::"€iitire lettuce, spinach, and potato crops would have been wiped out. This would have
removedus from the marketplace during the peak demand period.

This past season we began a new potato certified seed program. This crop utilizes extremely
expensive Generation 2 and 3 varieties. This is another example of a high value crop
needing protection from the ever-present threat of hail devastation.

In conclusion, this program continues to provide the necessary protection of our crops,
enabling us to compete effectiv with other major growing regions.

Sincerely,

~

Victor Smith
President

. . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
