~

~

Operations

The project will be operated from the permittee's main
office in Salt Lake City, Utah. The licensed operators in
control of the project shall have access to all relevant
National Weather Service data distributed from Suitland,
Maryland, via geostationary satellite to the permittee's office
through a Zephyr Weather Service. These data shall include, at
a minimum, surface hourly weather observations, upper-air
observations, analyzed weather charts, forecast weather charts,
and visible and infrared weather satellite imagery. The
permittee's licensed operators shall be responsible for
determining which generators, if any, should be operated in any
particular storm based upon consideration of wind flows and
likely transport over the target area and the seeding criteria
identified above.

During suitable storm periods, the permittee shall call the

local operators of the generators and give them directions as

to when to turn on and turn off each generator and as to what

the rate of emission of siver iodide should be. The permittee

shall be responsible for insuring that personnel are available
to operate each generator at all times.

-4-
