The nionths of January and February were also wet, bu't <br /> <br />,.'. . <br /> <br />'nottothe degree of the two Spring months. <br /> <br />. .' .. '. '. , . <br />. '.. . <br />. ' , <br />Precipitation' in January was generally associated with weak <br /> <br />weather systems moving into Colorado from ,the northwest. The <br /> <br />. , <br />heavi'est amounts were 'reported after the 28th when a relatively <br /> <br />deep trough aloft, positioned itself over the Plateau States. <br /> <br />February was' 'quite similar to January with the heavier amounts <br /> <br />,occurring on the loth, 14th and 17th of the month. The first <br /> <br />half of March continued to follow the lead of the previous two <br /> <br />months as the more significant amounts occurred with well-organized <br /> <br />storm systems that extended from the surface up into the higher <br /> <br />atmosphere on the 6th and 9th. From the 21st of March through <br /> <br />April, a deep cyclonic ~irculation anchored itself over the <br /> <br />west coast, a condition conducive,to storm development throughout <br /> <br />the remainder of the operational,period. <br /> <br />'- <br />
