For the full project target area. the linear regression equation for snowpack data. <br />as shown in Table 4 and in Figure 5a. incorporating the full arrays of target and <br />control sites listed in Table 4. should be used as the predictor for the area- <br />average "naturar snowpack as of April 1 each winter season. The linear <br />equation is: <br /> <br />y = .4723x + 4.3310 <br /> <br />(r = .875, ,,= .766, se = 0.865) <br /> <br />The resultant predicted value will then be compared to the actual observed area- <br />average value as ofthat date. <br /> <br />. For the full project target area, the linear regression equation for precipitation <br />data, as shown in Table 5 and in Figure 7a, incorporating the full arrays of target <br />and control sites listed in Table 5, should be used as the predictor for the area- <br />average "natural" precipitation for the period of November 1 - March 31 during <br />each winter season.
