Thompson, Dan A. Risch, and <br />North American Weather Consultants (Inco~orated in Utah) of <br />3761 South 700 East, Salt Lake cJty, utah, hereinafter referred <br />to as "Applicant.. has, or is about to file with the Director of <br />the Colorado Water Conservation Board an application for a permit <br />to conduct weather modification operations within the State of <br />colorado and within the areas hereinafter more specifically <br />stated. The Applicant shall conduot such operations for and on <br />behalf of the Grand Mesa Water Users Association, 1381 2420 <br />Drive, Cedaredge, CO 81413, <br /> <br />The primary target area at operations <br />)ditication permit is sought is described <br /> <br />for which <br />as follows: <br /> <br />a weather <br /> <br />The target area is the Grand Mesa above 8,000 feet <br />elevation and adj oin1ng mountainous areas above 8,000 feet <br />elevation east and southeast of the Grand Mesa. The <br />proposed area is pounded by TllSR97E on the northwest, <br />T13SR97W on the southwest, T12SR94W on the south, T12SR91W, <br />south to T5ONR6W, east to T50NR5W, north ~o TllSR89W <br />(McClure pass), northwest to T9SR90W on the north, southwest <br />to TllSR92W (Chalk Mt.) and west to TllSR97E. ~he ~roposed <br />target area includes portions of Delta, Mesa n: ., ~ ,nison <br />Counties. <br /> <br />.:l <br /> <br />Tte g~neral area beyond the primary area which may reasonably be <br />expe _d to be affected by the weather modification operations <br />inCludes portions of the following counties: eastern Mesa, <br />nortl.:rn Delta, southern Pitkin, western Gunnison, and eastern <br />Montrose. <br /> <br />,I <br />, <br />~ <br />i <br /> <br />The expected duration of the weather modification operations is <br />from February 10, 1990 through May 31, 1990.
