<br />WEATHER MOOIrICATION PERMIT <br /> <br />WY 85-1 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />FINOINGS or FACT <br /> <br />The following Findings of Fact are based on: <br /> <br />a. Application for an original Permit for Weather MDdification <br />Activities, Form WM2, dated August 18, 1984 with attached map. <br /> <br />b. Statements at the public meeting conducted in Vail on <br />October 19, 1984. <br /> <br />c. Comments, written and oral, from citizens expressing an interest <br />in this Application. <br /> <br />d. Advice, comments, and recommendations of the Weather Modification <br />Advisory CDmmittee. <br /> <br />e. Weather ModificatiDn Act of 1912, Article 20, Title 3&, C.R.S. <br /> <br />f. Weather Modification Rules and Regulations dated <br />September 12, 1913. <br /> <br />g. Weather Modification Act of 1912, Article 20, Title 3&, C.R.S. <br /> <br />h. Weather ModIfIcatIon Rules and Regulations dated <br />September 12, 1913. <br /> <br />1. The prDject is under the sponsorship of parties listed in Attachment A. <br /> <br />2. The project will utilize eight ground generators. Generator operators <br />are listed in Attachment 8. <br /> <br />3. The project is intended to augment natural precipitation within the <br />project area to provide improved snowpacks and additional water supplies for <br />storage and beneficial use. <br /> <br />4. The person in control Df the project is Lawrence M. Hjermstad, who holds <br />a valid weather modification license. <br /> <br />5. The applicable permit fee is $100.00 plus 2% of the total final amount <br />Applicant is paid fDr work conducted under this permit. <br /> <br />&. Proof of financial responsibility, by means of a prepaid liability <br />insurance policy, for $1,000,000 is required for this permit to become <br />effective. <br /> <br />1. The operational plan for the project meets the requirements of <br />C.R.S. S 3&-20-112(1)(d) and is incorporated into these findings by <br />reference. <br />
