Pre- <br /> <br /> <br />vious operations were carried out in 1971 and 1972, and <br /> <br /> <br />most recently in 1975. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />This report summarizes the 1976 operations and includes a <br /> <br /> <br />review of the actual precipitation that occurred during <br /> <br /> <br />the contractual period. The analysis of the precipitation <br /> <br /> <br />is achieved through the use of percent of nrH'mal"... nor- <br /> <br /> <br />mals in this case are long-term monthly precipitatjon nor- <br /> <br /> <br />mals established in the years prior to any large scale <br /> <br /> <br />cloudseeding activity in the nation. This method of analy- <br /> <br /> <br />sis aids in smoothing out the natural variability of rain- <br /> <br /> <br />fall due to topography or other local effects. <br /> <br />The 1976 program was in effect from 24 January through <br />23 April. <br /> <br />Page 1 <br />
