Box416 <br />Center, Colorado 8} 125 <br /> <br />DATE OF APPLICATION: June 3, 1996 <br /> <br />Commercial operation for hail suppression using sequenced sound <br />waves to proauce a cavffiltJon effect III the lee fOrmIng areas ot <br />cumulus cloud formations to inhibit the formation of ice particles and <br />cause the moisture to fall as rain rather than hail. <br /> <br />PROJECT: <br /> <br />TARGET AREA: The target area includes portions of Township 41 North, Ranges 7 <br />and 9 East, New Mexico Principal Meridian (NMPM), located in the <br />South Central part of Saguache County, Colorado. <br /> <br />DURATION: The operation is proposed to begin upon the issuance of the permit in <br />July 1996 through September 15. If the project is continued in <br />subsequent years thereafter, from June 15 through September 15. <br /> <br />PERSON IN CHARGE: The person in charge of the project is Michael John Eggers of Center, <br />Colorado and Nelson, New Zealand. <br /> <br />PERMIT SOUGHT: An original permit pursuant to ~ 36-20-112, CRS, with, conditional <br />approval for a time period in excess of one year's duration pursuant to <br />~ 36-20-114, CRS. <br /> <br />ACTION TO BE TAKEN: The findings will be the basis for a decision to either grant the permit, <br />grant the permit subject to conditions, or deny the permit. <br /> <br />DELEGATION OF AUTHORITY <br /> <br />This application was acted upon by the Director of the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />pursuant to the delegation of authority to him from the Executive Director of the Colorado <br />Department of Natural Resources since September 25, 1987 and reaffirmed October 14, 1992. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />1 <br />
