39.

1 seeding one individual cloud, or possibly one individual

2 storm, and not over a long period, and especially over a

3 large area.

4

MRS. FARHAR: And when one further question. Do

5 you have objective criteria for suspending operations?

6

THE WITNESS: Yes. We do have. For example, any

7 time that. the precipitation--the accumulation of snow

8 we are talking about here--is one hundred twenty percent

9 of normal, or greater, most of the time we hesitate to

10 operate at all, unless we're in close contact with the

11 client.

12 In other words, if we should have a situation

13 where it would stay dry for a couple of weeks, three

14 weeks, then we would contact the client and see what

15 current conditions might be and we would operate.

16 But-what we're trying to do in general with

17 cloud seeding is to normalize the weather. We're not

18 trying to produce any enormous amounts of precipitation

19 thinking the more the better, because this is not true.

20 And we do not have that as an objective.

21

MR. MORAN: I think we are back to Exhibit D, and

22 Exhibit D will be received.

23

MR. WILLETT: Thank you. Any other questions by any

M member of the Committee or the Director?

25 (No re sponse. )

SUZANNE M. CLAAR
CERTIFIED SHORTHAND REPORTER
