ApplIcation for a Permit for Weather ModifIcation <br />(Form WM2) wIth attached map received 15 July 1985. <br /> <br />b. statements at the public meeting conducted on the Grand <br />Mesa on 26 September 1985. <br /> <br />c. Comments from citizens Interested In this ApplIcatIon. <br /> <br />d. Comments and recommendations by the Weather ModifIcation <br />AdvIsory Committee. <br /> <br />e. Weather Modification Act of 1972, Article 20, Title 36, <br />C.R.S. <br /> <br />f. Weather Modification Rules and Regulations dated <br />12 September 1973. <br /> <br />1. The project Is sponsored by the party lIsted In Attachment A. <br /> <br />2. The project will use two remote-controlled ground based generators, <br />two or three manual ground-based generators, and one airborne <br />generator. Ory Ice wIll be dropped by aIrcraft. Amounts of snow <br />produced by the experiments are expected to be small. <br /> <br />3. The project intends to: test remote-controlled ground-based <br />generators; study seeding plume trajectories; study changes in clouds <br />resulting from air and ground seeding. <br /> <br />4. John R. Thompson will control the project. Thompson holds Colorado <br />Weather Modification License No. 85-7. <br /> <br />5. The permit fee Is $100. <br /> <br />6. Proof of financial responsibility (by means of a prepaid liability <br />Insurance policy for $1.000,000) Is required for this permit to be <br />effect I ve. <br /> <br />7. The operational plan for the project meets the requirements of C.R.S. <br />S36-20-112(1)(d) and Is Incorporated Into these findings by reference. <br />
