The average
operating time for the year was 15 hrs. 54 min. The cannons are only operated when weather conditions
indicate likelihood of hail formation.

This season was the sixth year of operation. There were several incidents of severe hail damage to crops in
the San Luis Valley during the growing season. Fields under tlle Hail Cannon coverage suffered only
minor damage from slush and hard rain from three separate storms. We believe this avoidance of major
damage to be a direct result of the Hail Cannon operations.

As a result of successful protection from hail damage) we are again expanding our vegetable program in the
San Luis Valley. Major processors now view Qur operations in the San Luis Valley as a reliable production
area due to the reduction in the threat of hail damage.

As shown at the hearing for renewal of our permit last summer, neighboring producers continue to be
supportive of the cannons recognizing the benefit to their crops.

We anticipate no changes to our operating plan for the upcoming season. However we have changed the
Manager and Operator as shown on the accompanying Contact List.

Also enclosed is the annual fee in the amount of $383.74 along with our computation of the operating cost
of the program.

Should you have any questions or require additional information, please contact me at any time.

Very truly,

muJJc~

Michael D.
