Dist. #1. <br />Combined hail suppres- <br />sion and rain augmen- <br />tation over 11-county <br />area in western Kansas. <br />Used three single-engine <br />Comanches at claud base <br />with wing generators and <br />a Navajo at claud tap <br />seeding with dry ice. <br /> <br />Subcontracted to Weather <br />Modification Inc. Pre- <br />cipitation enhancement <br />and training program for <br />the Kingdom of Jordan. <br />Used Beech BE-60 "Duke" <br />aircraft with cloud <br />physics package used. <br />Aircraft seeding with <br />wing generators, a belly <br />rack of ejectable AgI <br />flares or ammonium <br />carbonate. Twenty ground <br />generators were placed <br />in the field around the <br />country. Training was <br />given to the Jordan <br />Meteorology Department <br />meteorologists in radar <br />theory and operational <br />techniques applied to <br />cloud seeding, cloud <br />seeding theory, seeding <br />chemical mixing and <br />ground generator <br />maintenance. <br /> <br />Western Kansas Ground- <br />water Mgmt.
