4.4 Summar~: and Discussion of Precipitation and Estimated Seeding Effects

Figures 4.7 through 4.12 show monthly precipitation expressed as percent of normal for
the upper Colorado River area for the months of ~ovember. December. January. February,
March. and April. These plots. which were prepared by the NWS Colorado Basin River Forecast
Center. indicate that precipitation in western Colorado was generally above normal in November,
near normal in December. near to slightly below normal for January. generally above normal in
February. well below normal in March and well above normal in April.
