<br />, "THE WHISTLE" <br /> <br />Clearly the whistle is the noise created when the wave front is rapidly disturbing the air <br />molecules as it pushes through them. The intensity and consistent nature of this <br />process can be observed for a period of up to 30 seconds. At this point, the <br />observation is that the sound is still being created, but that it has departed from <br />"earshot", It is now almost 6 miles away. This is also evidence of the "longevity' of the <br />wave front. the 'whistle' does not collapse at any point. The decline in noise level is <br />consistent with distance only. <br /> <br />"THE RINGS" <br /> <br />The observation of these "Rings' is always in an atmosphere of some degree of <br />humidity. This is not to say that it is not present at other times, but rather that it cannot <br />be observed from our position on the ground.
