<br />B, Permits <br /> <br />(1) General Information <br /> <br />a. A separate permit is required for each weather modification <br />project and projects must be directed by a person(s) who holds <br />a current Colorado weather modification license. Permittees <br />must be licensed for the method of technology (e.g., snow <br />augmentation, hall suppression) proposed. <br /> <br />b. A completed form WM2 with requested attachments <br />application for a weather modification permit, <br />should be submitted at least 45 days before the <br />of proposed projects. <br /> <br />constitutes an <br />Applications <br />beginning date <br /> <br />(2) Application for Permit <br /> <br />The following comments refer to numbered Items in the permit <br />application (WM2). The applicant should show that the proposed <br />project is reasonably expected to provide economic benefit to <br />residents of the target area (2) and of Colorado In general (3). <br />The applicant should identify the economic, social, or research <br />benefits expected (5), Items (6) and (7) should be addressed In <br />some detail. Suspension criteria, If any, should be described <br />under (7). The response to (8) should show that the applicant has <br />made an effort to determine what other weather modification <br />projects exist or are planned for areas near or downwind of the <br />proposed target area. Evidence of the applicant's obtaining a <br />liability policy of at least $1,000,000 is sufficient to show <br />financial responsibility (10). The Executive Director may require <br />liability coverage greater than $1,000,000 at his discretion. <br />Proof must be provided that the insuring company is authorized to <br />do business In Colorado. <br /> <br />2 <br />
