Barry Cress. DOLA
Mr. Cress mentioned that there is a problem with the eastem plans relying on ground
water. The nitrate levels in drinking water are too high. He stated the treatment fix for
this would be too expensive for the small towns and water providers there. Mr. Cress is
not sure ifthis condition is related to the dry conditions or not, but they will be
investigating. Also Mr. Cress mentioned that DOLA is doing a series of six workshops
across the state. The workshops involve water and sewer management and would include
a funding presentation.

NEXT MEETING
The next meeting will be in coordination with the Flood Task Force and will be on May
14,2003 at Camp George West from 9:30 to 12:30 p.m. Tentative plans are being made
for a WATF meeting in Fort Collins in July.

Meeting adjourned at approximately 3:00 P.M.
