Wildlife
Mary Halstead, representing the Colorado Division of Wildlife (CDOW), stated that currently there are no
wildlife problems. However, CDOW is concerned about fish hatcheries in southeast Colorado and are
therefore monitoring water levels in those reservoirs.

Energv
The Energy Task Force did not have a representative in attendance at this meeting, therefore no update
was provided.

Health
The Health Impact Task Force did not have a representative in attendance at this meeting, therefore no
update was provided.

Economic
The Economic Impact Task Force did not have a representative in attendance at this meeting, therefore no
update was provided.

Comments from Water Providers

Rick Marsicek, with the City of Aurora, reported that Aurora has implemented three-day mandatory
watering restrictions. This April 2006 demands are following those of 2002, but they have more snow in
their water supplying basins then they did in 2002. Aurora's reservoirs are currently 60% full, but should
be 75% full at this time of year.

Kevin Lusk, with Colorado Springs Utilities, explained that while demands were low this winter, they
have increased the last three weeks just as they did in 2002 and are following a similar pattern. Colorado
Springs has an average supply of water, and the Colorado Basin snow was 95-125% of average. A good
year is expected with hope to collect snow runoff to be 80-90%. The utility has issued Stage 1 Drought
voluntary watering restrictions even though warm temperatures and conditions are expected, because they
have been on mandatory watering restrictions since 2002.

Andy Pineda, with Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District (NCWCD), announced that the
NCWCD increased their allotted amount of water for this year's irrigation season from 60-80%. They
increased their allotment because of the present dry soil conditions they felt warranted an increase in their
quota. NCWCD now has 248,000 acre-feet available for their customers.

Next Meeting

The next meeting of the W ATF will be May 16, 2006, 1-4 p.m. at CDOW Headquarters.

The meeting was adjourned at 3:20 p.m.

Power Point presentations from the meeting can be found on the CWCB website at www.cwcb.state.co.us
