Mr. Cress also stated that the Office of Smart Growth with DOLA is funding a grant for a project
sponsored by the city of Lafayette and town of Erie. The project is producing a model
landscaping ordinance for water efficient landscape design, and a best practice manual which can
be seen on DOLA's website.

Travis Brav. Denver Water
Mr. Bray said that Denver Water's reservoirs are 72% full, whereas last year at this time they
were 75% full. He also said that 81 % full is average, and at this time they are therefore 10%
below nonnal. Mr. Bray said that Denver would decide on official restrictions tomorrow, but he
feels they will be similar to last year. He did comment, however, that they may also decide on
surcharges and rate increases for this year. Mr. Bray mentioned that Denver customers are
saving more water than projected and are conserving more than last year. He also stated Denver
Water started their recycling plant last month. They are sending effluent to the Cherry Creek
Power Plant for retreatment to irrigate Washington and City parks.

Brett Rodewald. Colorado Parks Recreation Assn.
Mr. Rodewald distributed a "Drought Issue Survey" he had created regarding the parks. He
reported that the parks had postponed their soccer game starting dates to try and preserve the
grass because March was a very dry month. Mr. Rodewald commented that the parks want a
water budget instead of restrictions for watering the lawns.

Joe Lambert, Energv
Mr. Lambert was not able to attend this meeting but sent a message to the group stating that he
was continuing to monitor water energy systems and transmission lines affected by fire.

Wildfires
There was no report on wildfires at this meeting.

Meeting was adjourned at 3:50 p.m.

--Presentations from the meeting can be seen on the CWCS Webpage, the
Conservation and Drought Planning Section at:

http://cwcb.state.co.us/owclDrought_Planning/ Agendas/Agendas/htm.

NEXT MEETING
The next meeting is being planned for Monday, May 17,2004 at 1:30 p.m.
