Jack Byers. Deputy State Engineer. DNR. W A TF Vice Chair
Mr. Byers said he would try to sum up the meeting. He stated that the reservoir storage will
continue to improve across the state; in areas where we have lower snowpack currently, there is
evidence to be hopeful for additional either snow or precipitation (from the various forecasts we
have heard); and, where there are areas of high snowpack, we continue to have concerns for high
water and flooding.

Larry Lang, Colorado Water Conservation Board, announced that the Flood Task Force Meeting
would be April 6, 2005. Mr. Lang stated that his section is also concerned about potential
flooding this spring, and further mentioned he was closely working with the State Engineers
Office.

Jack Truby, private citizen, expressed his concerns regarding emergency drought measures that
need to be noted for each task force area, and also asked if we have a fairly good idea of drought
problems that were about to occur and did not so we can be prepared for that in the future.

The meeting was adjourned at 1:40 p.m.

-- Visual Presentations from the meeting can be seen on the CWCS Webpage, the
Conservation and Drought Planning Section, Colorado Drought Information at:

http://cwcb.state.co.us/owclDrought_Planning/Presentations/htm.

NEXT MEETING
The next meeting is planned for Thursday, May 12th, here at DOW at 1:30 p.m.
