:1

~
~

BROOK FOREST PROJECT. Continued

The improved water supply system should provide adequate water

supply service to the current 211 equivalent residential taps.

Since the water to be available in the future would not exceed

about 80 gpcd. it is reco~nended that no meters be installed as a part

of the proposed project.

RECO~~ffiNDATION

The residents of the Brook Forest Water District currently face

extreme hardships during the winter seasons because of the inability

of their water supply system to provide adequate service. The district

has limited fire protection. The proposed improvements will eliminate

the problems and allow an orderly but limited growth in the area to be

served.

preliminary contacts have been made with the Farmers Home

Administration (FmHA) and other agencies. Initial indications are that

portions of the required financing may be ~btained only through private

financing. Thus the proposed financing for the project is as follows:

Total

$250.000
250,000
$500,000

Private Financing through Bonds

State Funds (to be repaid by use charges)

Under the proposed financing arrangement. water use charges in the

amount of $12,630 would be levied annually by the state for forty years

for a total charge of $505.200.

.

-5-

.
