<br />../ <br /> <br />') <br /> <br />') <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />COLORADO \~ATER CONSERVATlON BOARD <br />823 State Centennial Building <br />. 1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />December, 1979 <br /> <br />LONE TREE RESERVOIR PROJECT <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />The Lone Tree Reservoir is an offstream storage reservoir located <br /> <br />approximately two miles west of Campion in Larimer County, Colorado. <br /> <br />It is owned and operated by the Consolidated Home Supply Ditch and <br /> <br />Reservoir Company which was created in 1882 and was incorporated under <br /> <br />the laws of the State of Colorado as a mutual ditch company for the <br /> <br />purpose of transporting -water. This company has supplied water to its <br /> <br />shareholders ever since it was created and has contributed very much <br /> <br />to the economy of the area. <br /> <br />PROBLEl'I <br /> <br />The Dams and Reservoir Branch of the State Engineer I s Office has <br /> <br />cited the Consolidated Home Supply Ditch and Reservoir Company (company) <br /> <br />for deficiencies at the dam for the Lone Tree Reservoir. This citation <br /> <br />called for. restricted storage in the reservoir and has resulted in a <br /> <br />loss of revenue to the company. .A1though the company has spent over <br /> <br />$100,000 in recent years on the dam embankment and spillway, the State <br /> <br />Engineer has determined that several additional items need to be <br /> <br />attended to on the dam. <br />. <br />
