The dam is 113 feet tall and has a storage capacity of 1,620 acre-feet A zoned earthfiU dam impounds the reservoir across the East Fork of the Minnesota Creek. The reservoir is used to store and regulate the release of water for irrigation of about 3,400 acres of agricultural land. The Beaver Reservoir Company (BRC) is comprised of 1.600 shares. The shares are split as follows: Minnesota Canal and Res. Co. (900 shares), Turner Ditch Co. (400 shares) Lone Cabin Ditch and Res. Co. (300 shares). The reservoir was built in 1958 by the SRC. The SRC borrowed $415,000 in 1995 to install the liner and remove a restriction placed on the reservoir by the SEC. The Project consists of stabilizing the reservoir liner, which was installed in 1995 and financed by ewes. The Project will also include the replacement of the malfunctioning and unreliable hydraulic valve and gate on the intake end of the outlet structure. ~-;:.'~ ..........
