Discussion at Convention suggested: <br />(a) cooperative approach to water supply planning <br />(b) focus on better use of already-developed water supply systems <br />(c) that by being sensitive to multiple perspectives workable ideas <br />would emerge <br />(d) further sacrifice on the part of West Slope, agricultural and <br />environmental interests could not reasonably be expected until <br />metro Denver area had first" put its own house in order" through <br />more reliance on: <br />(1) water conservation <br />(2) reuse <br />(3) conjunctive use <br />(4) other means of full and efficient utilization of existing <br />systems <br />(e) "systems integration" approach to water supply planning <br />(f) cooperative and inclusive water supply planning process to <br />supplement the ongoing effort of individual water providers <br />(g) several water supply options were highlighted, including: <br />(1) Barr Lake Plan <br />(2) Northern Colorado District's Southern Water Supply <br />Pipeline <br />(3) conjunctive use of surface and groundwater <br />(4) interconnection and coordinated operation of individual <br />water supply systems <br />(5) pooling and sharing of supplies <br />(6) regional management of systems <br />
