Diversion data can be displayed in
various ways. If multiple structures are selected, the user has the
option of displaying all diversion data in a single window or sepa-
rated out in multiple windows (one diversion record per window).
The diversion data may be displayed as tabular output or as a
hydrograph. Unlike streamflow data, only daily displays of diversion
data are available, since no more than one value is submitted each
day by Water Commissioners. After choosing the appropriate display
method, click on the Display button to view the data. . .,.

6.4 Water Rights Tabulation

The Water Rights Query dialog can be reached via the Query / Water
Rights Tabulation menu item

This dialog provides the user with the ability to browse the Division I Water
Rights Tabulation. Water rights within the tabulation can be selected based
on particular structures, specific administration numbers, decreed amounts
(acre-feet or cfs), as well as use and adjudication types. Any combination of
these selection criteria may be combined to form a tabulation query.

6.4.1 Formulating a Query

In order to view data from the Water Rights Tabulation, the user must
formulate a logical request to be submitted to the database. Tabulated
water rights which meet the selection criteria of the formulated
request will be selected for display. The request must follow a spe-
cific syntax: known as SQL. SQL statements for the Water Rights
Query dialog all begin with "SELECT all water rights WHERE:",
followed by selection criteria specified by the user. The user may add
selection criteria by using the many interface items in the dialog. The
SQL query may be typed directly into the text box at the top of the
dialog, or formulated using the interface items in the lower portion of
the dialog.

The request can consist of a single condition, or of several conditions
joined by logical operators such as AND, OR, =, etc. It is important
to use the correct operator, and easy to use the wrong one, creating an
illogical statement. For example, it would be incorrect to formulate a
query such as "SELECT all water rights Where: (WD = 23 AND
ID = 3904) AND (WD = 23 AND ID = 908)" because there are no
