However, quite a lot of growth is expected due to the <br /> <br />future building in the area of the proposed Dallas Creek Project, <br /> <br />expected to be completed by 1983. <br /> <br />Moderate to severe shortages of municipal water occur now at <br /> <br />Ridgway; these shortages are expected to become more severe as the <br /> <br />population of Ridgway grows. <br /> <br />Water for the town of Ridgway is obtained now by diversion <br /> <br />from Beaver Creek, tributary of the East Dallas Creek, and also <br /> <br />from three springs in the Beaver Creek drainage basin" <br /> <br />PROBLEM <br /> <br />At the present time, the quality of water supplied to the <br /> <br />residents of Ridgway does not comply with the minimum state stan- <br /> <br />dards for potable water systems.
