<br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Section 6 <br />Currently <br />Proposed <br />Water Projects <br /> <br />The ]996 Colorado Water Needs Survey respondents identified <br />over 50 water development projects or strategies which they plan <br />to pursue in the coming years, These are listed below, organized <br />by Water Division, It is noted that surveys were returned by less <br />than half of the municipal water agencies, water conservancy dis- <br />tricts and water districts in the State, so this list should be consid- <br />ered representative of the type of projects currently being evalu- <br />ated but not necessarily comprehensive. Nonetheless, returned <br />surveys represent 33 of the 42 largest water agencies and 78 per- <br />cent of the State's populalion, so major projects should be cap- <br />tured by the survey, <br /> <br />Appendix A includes a summary of the survey responses in the <br />area of Proposed Water Programs and Projects, This indicates <br />the various projects referenced by each survey respondent, and <br />in some cases gives a brief project description and discussion of <br />how the project would fit into the current water supply system, <br /> <br />Projects Common 10 All Divisions <br />. Water conservation, <br />. Wastewater reuse for non potable irrigation in urban areas, <br />. Wastewater exchange and reuse in cooperation with agricul- <br />tural interests, <br />. Operational agreements/systems integration, <br /> <br />Water Division 1 <br />. Union Reservoir development (enlargement and additional <br />pump stations), <br />. Button Rock Enlargement. <br />. Coffintop Reservoir. <br />. Southwestern Portland Pits, <br />. Dowe Flats Reservoir, <br />. Geer Canyon Reservoir, <br />. Liberty Reservoir, <br />. Little Thompson Reservoir, <br />. Purchase water to run through the Denver water system, <br />. Purchase Windy Gap and Colorado - Big Thompson water <br />units. <br />.
