<br />Commission has adopted zoning standards which requires or rewards <br />water conservation by private developers. We will soon be asking the <br />City Council to adopt those standards. <br /> <br />--And we now require all new commercial and residential structures to <br />use low-flow toilets, showers, and faucets. <br /> <br />With cooperation, creativity and commitment to conservation, I <br />believe we can find answers to the water supply needs of the Denver <br />Metro area while respecting the needs of our neighbors on the Western <br />Slope and Eastern Plains. <br /> <br />Written questions and comments for Mayor Webb <br /> <br />1. [also addressed to Mayor Carpenter] What steps, if any, will be <br />taken to clean up the polluted aquifers under the metro area? <br /> <br />2. [also addressed to Mayor Carpenter] In addition to the need for a <br />Front Range Water Authority, it would appear that additional <br />metropolitan area "integrated planning" is necessary to also address <br />water and air quality, transportation and similar issues. Is there a <br />better way to provide multi-media analyses of Front-Range growth <br />scenarios and to fully involve all potential stakeholders? <br /> <br />21 <br />
