May 24, 1994

1-
2- 3- 4-
5-
6-

Dear 2- 4-;

The Northwest Colorado Council of Governments' Water Quality Program has completed a
water conservation model (using a Lotus 123 spreadsheet). This model was developed as a
planning tool for use by mountain community water and sanitation districts and focuses on the
commercial (short term rental market) sector. The model compares water system costs with and
without conservation programs. The model disaggregates the short-term rental sector into motel
and condominium sub-groups and considers variations on five conservation measures (such as ,
toilet and showerhead replacements).

1 would like to know if you are interested in participating in a training session on the use of this
model. The estimated cost of the materials and beverages is $20.00. Enclosed is a
questionnaire which I hope you will take the time to fill out and return to me.

lf you have any questions, please give me a call at 468-0295, ext 104.

Sincerely,

Robert Ray
'Water Quality Director

: enclosure

nls\wql994#3\cwcb)nv.ltr
