<br />I <br />I <br />) <br />I <br /> <br />1992 WORK PROGRAM <br /> <br />WATER SUPPLY OPERATIONS/CONSERVATION <br /> <br />Purpose: <br /> <br />Perform professional, technical, and administrative duties concerning the planning <br />and operation of the city's water supply facilities in order to assure that current <br />and future water supplies are adequate. <br /> <br />Goals and Objectives: <br /> <br />1. Monitor water consumption of the city's customers, developing knowledge <br />of water use patterns. <br /> <br />a. Update the city's water supply/demand analysis, incorporating <br />future service are;l's reasonable water conservation savings, and <br />the potential for water reuse. <br /> <br />b. Update of the land use, zoning and population databases for supply <br />and demand forecasting. <br /> <br />c. Remain active in development of Utility Billing system to ensure <br />inclusion of capabilities to communicate with water and sewer <br />customers. <br /> <br />d. Prepare the 1992 utility rate analysis for Arvada. <br /> <br />2. Determine the feasibility and useability of groundwater reserves <br />located beneath the city. <br /> <br />c. Continue to analyze and purchase water rights in the Clear Creek <br />Basin. <br /> <br />d. Examine and analyze alternative water supply sources from other <br />basins. <br /> <br />e. Identify potential reservoir sites, and move towards acquisition of <br />the land. <br />
