Unless there is an unforeseen need for additional data, I anticipate that <br />. fIlling out this questionnaire will fulfill your obligations as a research study participant. It <br />takes time and money to follow up with letters and phone calls to participants who do not <br />respond. Please help us minimize our costs by being prompt with completing and returning <br />the questionnaire. <br /> <br />You may be curious about why we need to know the information asked in the questionnaire. <br />Since we can not directly measure the water that you use for lawn watering, we need to <br />subtract the estimated amount of indoor water use from the total amount measured by your <br />water meter. As a starting point, we will estimate the indoor water use by assuming that <br />your average daily total water consumption in the winter is equal to your average daily <br />indoor water use in the summer. Your answers to the questionnaire will help us to refine <br />that assumption. <br /> <br />Please return the completed questionnaire in the stamped envelope provided by Friday, <br />August 12th.
