Dissemination of information regarding water use efficiency
measures, including public education, customer water use
audits, and water.saving demonstrations

1. Purpose

The ultimate success of water conservation programs depends upon the actions of the
people who use the water. Development of a conservation ethic through public
awareness and education is therefore necessary to the overall success of this, or any
other conservation program. Making information available to the public regarding the
reasons for water conservation and the available methods of conservation will help to
foster such a conservation ethic.

2. This type of program will continue on a year-to-year
basis and will be refmed from time-to-time as needed to maintain interest levels.

b) For the past five years during National Drinking Water Week, the District has
conducted a water conservation education program in service area elementary and
middle schools.
