Bi 11 Sunmary

(Note: This summary applies to this bill as introduced
and does not necessarily reflect any amendments which may be
subsequently adopted.)

Increases the maximum life term that may be given to an
advisory committee, agency, division, board, or function before
such agency or function must be reviewed by the joint
legislative sunrise and sunset review committee. States that
the general assembly, acting by bill, may reschedule the date
on which an advisory committee, agency, or function will be
reviewed to a later date, if such date meets the requirements
concerning the maximum life term for such agency, function, or
advisory committee. Reschedules the review dates for certain
agencies' functions.
Provides that the joint legislative sunrise and sunset
review committee shall review a proposal to regulate a
professional or occupational group only if the requesting party
submits a statement of support whIch has been signed by a stated
number of individuals from within and outside of the profession
or occupation to be regulated, in addition to the other required
information.
States that when the committee approves a proposed
regulation, the supporters of such regulation may submit
appropriate legislation during each of a stated number of
immediately succeeding regular sessions of the general assembly
without again having to submit such proposal to the committee
for review.

3 1980 Repl. Vol., as amended, is amended to read:
