ROUTING# CONTRACT# 61()O~ CIR'ni?~ MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB), AND Cherry Creek State Park WHEREAS, authority exists in the law and funds have been budgeted, appropriated and otherwise made available and a sufficient unencumbered balance thereof remains available for payment in Colorado Water Conservation Board , FUND NUMBER 424 , AGENCY PDA ORGANIZATION 92YY , APPROPRIATION CODE 100 ,PROGRAM WTRC FUNCTION , OBJECT CODE 5110 , GBL REPORTING CATEGORY , PROJECT NUMBER $ 4,995.00 ,CONTRACT ENCUMBRANCE NUMBER C/53ISd-. ; and WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board pursuant to the provisions ofHB 91-1154, Section 37- 60-125, the STATE is authorized to grant funds for the purpose of pilot programs demonstrating the benefits of water efficiency measures. NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby agreed that: A) Scope of Services The Project consists of the replacement of portions of the existing irrigation system at Cherry Creek State Park. The existing systems are presently at a 50 % efficiency rate and are resulting in an overuse of water resources. The goals of the Project are to: increase water efficiency; increase control of resources for scheduling purposes; and reduction of water run off and water loss below the root zone. The Contractor will coordinate a program to perform an audit of the irrigation system while at the same time inviting other park personnel to attend for educational purposes. The Contractor will also schedule and implement a plan to retro-fit the existing irrigation system. Following the installation of irrigation devices, the Contractor will perform a follow-up audit for comparison purposes. The Contractor will do a comparison of water usage between the initial audit and the audit following retro-fitting of the site. The Contractor will publicize project through the DNR newsletter and other in- house publications during and following the program. A Final Report shall be compiled upon completion of the Project. The Final Report shall include a summary of the Project, discussion of the Project implementation, Project findings (audit comparisons, attendance of initial audit program, changes in water use and water usage). The Final Report will not only conclude the Project but will serve as information to be shared with other Colorado communities. B. Time of Performance This agreement shall become effective Julv 1. 1997 and shall be in effect through Januarv 31. 1998. C. Compensation and Method of Pavment Total compensation responsibility by Cherry Creek State Park under this MOU shall not exceed four thousand nine hundred and ninety-five dollars ($4.995) for the time period covered by this MOU. CWCB will disperse the funds within 15 days of its receipt of written request accompanied by invoices by grantee. The final balance of $500 will be distributed upon completion and approval of fmal report. Page 1 of2
