..."..._.............., J.~....nll ,,'-='....l:.,

NU.;:J:>l::l ~.b/-r

The district encourages wastewater reuse for irrigation by charging a lower rate than
potable water rates for commercial or public users who want to inigate their landscape,
and it maintains a pollcy with the Town of Parker of irrigating the lown's parks with
treated (reclaimed) wastewater.

10. Water rare srrucrure

The district has currently set its rates with an inclining block rate structure designed to
discourage excessive water use. This is done by establishing a base fee of $16/month
along with a base rate of $1.6511000 gallons for every gallon used up to 20,000 gallons,
$2.25/100 gallons for the next 10,000 gallons, then $3.50/1000 gallons for all over
30,000 gallons per month.

Inc:entives

The District's only incentive to promote conservation of water, at the present time, is through
an inclining block rate structure, whereby increasingly higher users of water must pay
, increasingly higher unit costs in dollars per 1,000 gallons for the water that they use. The
District has discussed the need to offet incentives, such as rate reductions for sprinkler
installations, or using low water ~tures, but it has determined that the inclining block rate is
sufficient.

Water Conllrvation Pltm
1;\100I\WP6OllOSICONSBaV.PLN

Page 4
