Offer water-saving devices to residents, cost-shared <br /> <br />Public participation <br /> <br />Participation from the public is an important part of the planning process, From March I <br />until April 30, 1996, a draft plan was available for public review and comment. Three letters <br />were received. On March 18, a public meeting was held to explain the plan and solicit addi- <br />tional comments. One citizen attended this meeting, <br /> <br />City Council Adoption <br /> <br />On May 20, the Water Board approved the plan and recommended City Council approval <br />of a resolution adopting the plan. The resolution was approved by City Council on June 4, <br />1996. <br /> <br />Implementation <br /> <br />The recommended conservation measures included in the final plan will be implemented <br />between 1997 and 200 I. A detailed implementation plan for each measure will be included <br />in an annual workplan, Each year, the workplan will include goals for the coming year, a <br />plan for implementing the measures and an evaluation of accomplishments from the previous <br />year, The first workplan will be for 1997, <br /> <br />ii <br />
