<br />Dissemination of information regarding water use efficiency measures <br /> <br />Measure B: Promote water conservation and education to students <br /> <br />DESCRIPTION <br /> <br />TARGET <br />TIME FRAME <br />STAFF <br /> <br />SAVINGS <br /> <br />EXISTING. Currently, the City's water education program includes items <br />on the list below. New activities will be added on an ongoing basis. The <br />goal is to increase students' awareness of the nature of water, water use <br />habits and conservation choices. <br />(1) Annual Children's Water Festival for fifth graders <br />(2) School presentations: water cycle, water conservation, wastewater <br />treatment <br />(3) Tours of water and wastewater treatment plants <br />(4) Annual poster contest for fifth grade students <br />(5) Develop water curriculum kits for fifth and eighth grades. <br /> <br />Residential indoor and outdoor water use <br /> <br />Ongoing <br /> <br />Water & Power <br /> <br />It is hard to measure savings from education programs. <br /> <br />Measure 9: Promote water conservation to the pUblic <br /> <br />DESCRIPTION <br /> <br />TARGET <br />TIME FRAME <br />STAFF <br />SAVINGS <br /> <br />EXISTING.
